Giving your child the opportunity to explore fantastical, comical or gritty worlds by developing their creative writing skills is such a wonderful gift!
Creative writing allows writers to express ideas and thoughts in an imaginative way and gives them the confidence to communicate their point of view, thoughts, and feelings through an exploration of different characterisations, perspectives and themes.
Our creative writing workshops are perfect for inspiring imagination, equipping young writers with practical writing tools and techniques, and providing a fun, supportive environment where young writers can explore and improve their writing practice.
Your child will journey into the craft of the story; receiving written and verbal feedback on their work, bouncing ideas, drawing on examples from literature and screen and put new and familiar techniques into practice as they develop their own stories.
Students will develop their own ideas across a range of different literacy techniques and forms. They will have the opportunity to write within their preferred genres and to develop and strengthen their own writing.

Years 3 and 4 (Stage 2)
Tuesday 16th January from 12:30 – 2:30pm (2 hour workshop)
Could also be combined with Book Club – Reading and Writing skills held prior from 9 – 12pm (3 hour workshop)
Years 5 and 6 (Stage 3)
Wednesday 17th January from 12:30 – 2:30pm (2 hour workshop)
Could also be combined with Book Club – Reading and Writing skills held prior from 9 – 12pm (3 hour workshop)

$65 per child (2 hours), or $50 for second sibling or when referring new family.

Combining both workshops; Book Club and Creative Writing Workshop (includes lunch; pizza, popper and fruit) – $160 per child (5 hours) or $150 for second sibling or when referring new family.
