In a positive and supporting environment, your child will continue to cover exam relevant content with the necessary depth and breadth, with, real world context. This will help give your child the opportunity to better understand and remember needed information. Your child will also continue to be exposed to a diverse range of exam style questions, as well as, exam strategies – shown how to work in the most efficient manner possible. Computer based testing will be facilitated with devices – nothing for parents to supply.

HELD

5 x sessions prior to the exam date + 50% off 9 x sessions during Term 2 – Transition into Year 5 (new Stage 3 – Writing)

Held:
– Tuesdays 15th and 22nd April (full days 8:30am – 3pm) +
+ Plus 1 x session in Week 1 of Term 2, prior to exam held May 2nd – 4th (after school e.g. 4:30 – 6:30pm) +
+ Plus 1 x session per week, Weeks 2 – 10 of Term 2 (after school e.g. 4 – 6pm)
Total: 14 sessions (4 x sessions during school holidays + 10 x sessions during Term 2)

Half day sessions may also be available based on expression of interest.

  • Strategies to read, interpret and understand the questions
  • Sentence structure and complexity
  • Text composition and stimulus connection
  • Familiarisation and use of mature vocabulary
  • Making connections between maths concepts and strategies
  • Strategies for maths tests
  • Strategies to check answers
  • Strategies for comprehension tests
  • Strategies for critical thinking tests
  • Practise tests using supplied computers

Sample Full day itinerary;

8:30 – 9am (Arrival / Drop off / Activities room)
9 – 10am (Session #1)
10 – 10:15am Break (Morning tea, Library, Class Revision)
10:15 – 11:15am (Session #2)
11:15 – 12:15 (Lunch + Excursion Activity to Charlestown Square; alternate between Bowling, Laser Tag and Flip Out Ninja Park etc.)
12:15 – 1:15pm (Session #3)
1:15 – 1:45pm Break (Afternoon tea, Library, Class Revision)
1:45 – 2:45pm (Session #4)
2:45 – 3pm (Pick up / Activities room)

ADMIN
For approximately $25 per hour for highly experienced and fully qualified teacher.
Includes all resources and materials, plus morning tea, and, access to Library, and, Activity Room.
! Lunch and Excursion Activity (ranging from $12 – $20 per activity) to be supplied by parent / guardian direct to child.
